The New Sonic Turner Is A Great Solution for High Volume Low Cost Composting
The new Sonic Turner turns 26 ft wide by 10 ft high aerated windrows, moving them backwards approximately 35 ft. The turner is a remotely controlled turner capable of moving 3000 to 5000 cubic yards per hour. It is powered by a diesel engine with Bosch Rexroth hydraulic components and Omnex remote control.
This turner allows the composting facilty to be enclosed using cost effective 30 ft wide cover systems that can be gutter connected if required. This turner is ideal for composting projects that are processing more than 100,000 tonnes of material per year.
A smaller lower capacity unit will also be available soon. This unit will process 20 ft wide by 8 ft high aerated windrows with a capacity of 500 to 1000 cubic yards per hour. This unit will be suited for projects from 20,000 to 100,000 tonnes per year.
This turner will also be able to be modified with rotating vertical augers to process material in 10 ft wide and 8 ft high concrete channels as well.
